A broadcasting class in high school was the first time his hands touched a camera. From that moment, he became enthralled with the idea of capturing, creating and telling a story from behind the opportunity of a lens. Nearly 15 years from that moment, this initial spark would forged and encourage him to pursue the art of creating. His journey has taken him through odd jobs, dusty dive bar shows and crowded tour vans; through arenas, international expeditions and luxury tour buses. Through it all, the hunger to create has kept the kindling turning in the fiery pursuit of authenticity and innovation.

FAQs

  • I always use Sony bodies but my lenses can constantly. I’m either handheld or utilize a Zhiyun gimbal. Sometimes I’ll use an FX filter for some visual effects. I’m a simple guy!

  • I use Adobe’s Premiere Pro for video and Lightroom/Photoshop for photo. (shoutout to my wife for the teacher discount). All editing is done in house, utilizing some presets + a degree from Youtube university.

  • I’ve had a camera in my hands for nearly twenty years. In that time, I’ve simply said YES to every opportunity that came my way. It wasn’t always what I wanted to do (in fact, it rarely WAS a perfect project) but it WAS a perfect learning opportunity. Meeting people, practicing in a variety of atmospheres- it compounds to an experience that I could have only dreamed of, touring media. Do it all, post it all, but have some precision and tough skin.

  • My first bit of advice is to Youtube it all, appreciate the pros, and practice, practice, practice. If you’d like a more hands-on approach, I do offer coaching sessions where you can ask me any and everything about what I do! You can book that below!
